2017 Labor Day Weekend Events Tampa FL

The time we all feared is coming closer: The end of summer. We all know it’s not quite so bad here in Tampa FL, as we don’t experience the drastic weather changes of some other states. Still, weekend events slow down as concerts aren’t as prevalent and many of us have plenty to do in the fall. Kids go back to school, family-focused holidays have us traveling and many other things take away from the sort of casual air that summer brings. You can still go out with a blast, though, with these fun 2017 Labor Day weekend events happening right here in Tampa FL.

Labor Day festivals and concerts

You can go to a restaurant or nightclub any day of the year, but festivals, concerts and other outdoor events are the true marker of the summer season. Here’s what you can expect for Labor Day.

Tampa Kizomba Festival

Don’t know what Kizomba is? Well now is the time to find out. It’s a type of dance and this event is part of TSBF, so there will be plenty of opportunities to learn different moves throughout the weekend.

USF Dome Labor Day Weekend Festival

Those looking for some R&B to make it through the weekend will want to buy tickets now. The musical lineup includes Frankie Beverly, Maze, Nephew Tommy, Tank and Kelly Price. The concert is on Sept. 2 starting at 7 p.m.

Rather spend the weekend camping? Check out these state parks!

Celebrate Oldsmar

Though not directly located in the Tampa area, Oldsmar will be the place to go this Labor Day Weekend if you want a family-friendly event. Taking place on Sept. 1 and 2, Celebrate Oldsmar will feature live music from Soul Circus Cowboys on the first day of the event, and Stormbringer on day two. You can also expect carnival games, fantastic food and more.
