The All-New 2018 Tiguan Gets Sportier With an R-Line Package
Features of the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line
We often think of buying a new vehicle as a practical choice. After all, you need something reliable to take the family from place to place. But does practical have to mean dull? Or course not. Which is why the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line Package has just been announced. This package, much like the package available on models like the Passat, adds a sportier appearance to an already smart vehicle option. You know the 2018 Tiguan is a solid choice because it’s roomier and more technologically advanced, but now it also has that eye-candy appeal. Here are some of the features of the R-Line Package.
What’s included in the Tiguan R-Line
The R-Line package is an appearance package that will be available for the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan in the first quarter of 2018. It doesn’t change anything mechanical, as the model offers a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The R-Line package, which is available on SEL and SEL Premium trims, includes the follow:
- 19-inch “Trenton” wheels for SEL, 20-inch “Braselton” wheels for SEL Premium
- R-Line badging
- Aggressive front and rear bumpers
- Stylize front air intakes
- Glossy black rear diffusor
- Body-color wheelarch extensions and side skirts
- R-line steering wheel badge
- Stainless steel sport pedal covers
- Stainless steel door trim with R-Line logo
- R-Line logo start screen on the infotainment system
The R-Line package was imagined for those who want to feel inspired by their vehicle. Your SUV isn’t just a daily driver, but a vehicle you can depend on for life’s adventures. Shouldn’t it be fun? The R-Line package is available for $1,795 for the SEL trim, as it adds front and rear Park Distance Control. The SEL Premium already comes with Park Distance Control, and so the package is priced at $1,495 for this trim.
